The last Android 14 beta has now been released, ahead of its expected debut in a few weeks time.

Android Developers Blog:

With the official release of Android 14 only weeks away, today we’re bringing you Beta 5, the last scheduled update in our Android 14 beta program. It’s the last chance to make sure your apps are ready and provide feedback before non-beta users start getting Android 14. To enable you to test your applications on devices spanning multiple form factors, Beta 5 is available for Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold, in addition to the rest of the supported Pixel family and the Android emulator.

Given Android 14 (aka Upside Down Cake) is now platform stable and therefore developer APIs and app behaviours final, Google is now encouraging developers to submit their updates to the Play Store to ensure apps are ready for the final Android 14 release soon. After the first preview was released in February, the final Android 14 release is now imminent. Last year Android 13 began to roll out to customers on August 15.

For those installing the Android 14 betas over the air, the new update will also be available shortly.
